This painting is inspired by the plants and flowers that grow wild where I live in the West of Ireland including fuchsia and ferns among other natural flora that are considered “weeds”. This piece is a little busier than many of my other nature-inspired paintings but I think this is because I painted it between spring and summer when the senses are bombarded by a rush of natural beauty.
